Churning Man is built by the people who show up, contribute, and care.
Churning Man is a community-powered festival, and much of what makes the weekend special comes from the people who help build it.
Whether you’re interested in volunteering your time or contributing creative work, there are several ways to get involved and help shape the experience.
Volunteering
Volunteers play an essential role in making Churning Man possible. From arrival support to safety, art assistance, and general operations, volunteers help hold the container that allows the weekend to unfold smoothly.
In exchange for a 6-hour shift,
volunteers receive a free festival ticket.
What to Know
Volunteers are part of the Churning Man team and help ensure all attendees feel welcome, supported, and safe. We ask volunteers to represent the festival with kindness, care, and integrity.
Please note:
Volunteers are expected to arrive on time and be clear-headed (aka sober) for their scheduled shift
Volunteer roles are limited and role-specific
Not everyone who applies will be guaranteed a position; it is dependent on availability
Volunteers receive a free festival ticket in exchange for one 6-hour shift
Camping passes are still required for volunteers staying overnight
Please read the full list of volunteer expectations prior to submitting an application.
Thank you for your interest in

Artists are encouraged to submit ideas for works of all kinds, including interactive installations, standalone art pieces, and collaborative projects. There are also opportunities to submit a proposal to facilitate hands-on workshops or creative experiences that invite participation and play.
If you’re excited to create, collaborate, and help shape this buttery world together, we’d love to hear from you!
